Mitsubishi ASX 2010 is a compact crossover, whose sales on the Ukrainian market began in the summer of 2010. The car is a balanced offer both in terms of price / equipment ratio, and in terms of power units / driving characteristics.

Created by Mitsubishi ASX on a global platform, which also underlies Lancer X And Outlander XL. McPherson struts are installed at the front, and an independent multi-link at the rear. It is noteworthy that the wheelbase of the ASX is the same as that of the larger Outlander - 2,670 mm. Therefore, three passengers will sit comfortably in the back.

The ASX crossover has something to brag about. For example, in top-end versions, the model receives a rear-view camera, cruise control, a panoramic roof with LED lighting, leather interior, climate control, acoustics with a subwoofer, 8 speakers and a six-disc CD changer.

The combination of power units has a hard binding. Initial 1.6-liter engine with 117 hp. Available only in tandem with a five-speed manual transmission. More voluminous 1.8-liter "four" for 140 hp offered exclusively with CVT. And the two-liter engine, which develops 150 hp, relies on both manual and automatic transmission.

All engines have a proprietary MIVEC gas distribution system that reduces fuel consumption. The manual gearbox is nothing special, but the variator, regardless of the selected engine, has a sport mode, which is useful for active country overtaking. In "sport", the driver has six virtual gears at his disposal, which can be switched using the paddles on the steering wheel.

The Multi-Select 4WD plug-in all-wheel drive system, whose three modes are switched by a “washer” on the console, is available exclusively for cars with a two-liter 150-horsepower unit. The three modes of the system include the ability to drive only with front-wheel drive (2WD), automatically connected rear axle (4WD Auto) or always-on all-wheel drive (4WD Lock).

In the basic configuration, the Mitsubishi ASX is equipped with only two airbags, and the list of active safety systems includes anti-lock brakes (ABS), brake force distribution (EBD) and braking assistance (Brake Assist).

But all subsequent levels of equipment have a complete list - front, including for the driver's knees, side and curtain airbags, traction control (TCL), road stability (ASC) and hill start assist (HSA).

Now the company is selling the remnants of the pre-styling version of the model, which will be replaced by an updated modification. Mitsubishi ASX, the main external difference of which is a modernized false radiator grille, which has taken a hexagonal shape. Produced by Mitsubishi ASX in Japan.
